Rise and Run.
To be fair, it’s not everybody’s thing to get up at 6.45 am, sky skill wearing different shadows of black and an weather app telling you that temperatures are hardly climbing above 0. And I admit, it is not my thing either. Week for week, every Tuesday, I have that unpleasant feeling but drag me out of bed and get my day started with a little bit of a morning run. London is the city to experience that. I usually run in the east but every now and then, the sky scrapers and bridges above the Thames call me over and make my morning perfect. As soon as you reach the iconic Harry Potter, James Bond call it whatever Millenium Bridge, you face the best skyline one could imagine. Turn around in any direction, while sliding over the slippery bridge, you’ll have a look on the Tate, Tower Bridge, St. Pauls or even London Eye, and fueled up with this amazing impression, the hardship of getting out of bed half an hour ago if forgotten. As Millenium bridge is fairly located in the centre of the city, it should not be to much hustle to get there in 5k from almost any point. Try! I’ll be there next week, 7.30 am, forgetting about my early morning displeasure.
